Howard Shih

Howard Shih is a Technical Manager - FI for the Science Based Targets initiative. He supports the development of target-setting methods and resources for the financial sector project.

Prior to joining the World Resources Institute, Howard worked 11+ years in the financial sector across the U.S., Europe, and Asia as a credit risk specialist. He managed portfolios in support of the corporate banking business at Bank of America and fixed-income investments at the Bank for International Settlements. He also oversaw all credit risk and compliance matters for the BIS Representative Office for Asia and the Pacific.

Howard holds a MBA from INSEAD and a BS from NYU Stern. He also holds the Sustainability & Climate Risk certificate from GARP as well as the Financial Risk Manager and Chartered Financial Analyst designations.
