Kristin Komives
Chief Integrity and Partnerships OfficerKristin Komives is Chief Integrity and Partnerships Officer at the SBTi, where she leads SBTi’s work to strengthen and safeguard the integrity of the SBTi system and to build strategic partnerships within the climate eco-system. Kristin brings extensive expertise in credible practice for sustainability standards and has over 20 years of experience in programme strategy, organisational development and leadership, and research.
Prior to joining the SBTi, Kristin was Director of Programmes at ISEAL, a UK-based non-profit organisation that defines best practice for credibility standards and certification systems. She was responsible for strategy development and implementation and led ISEAL’s impacts and innovations programmes, including the ISEAL Innovations Fund. She launched ISEAL’s climate programme after successfully developing lasting impact partnerships on living wage and living income. Kristin was ISEAL’s leading expert on monitoring, evaluation, learning (MEL), and impact research and coached organisations in the development of their impact strategies and MEL systems.
Kristin started her career in academia and policy-oriented research. She was on the faculty of the International Institute of Social Studies at Erasmus University Rotterdam, where she lectured on research methods and environmental and social policy. She directed and conducted research on the effectiveness, impact, and distributional effects of water and energy service delivery models and poverty reduction strategies.
Kristin’s passion is working collaboratively across teams and organisations to design, implement, and continuously improve ambitious and scalable solutions to the sustainability challenges.
