Financial Institutions (FIs) have a responsibility and an opportunity to reduce emissions, and enable the transformation to a 1.5°C, net-zero economy by aligning their investment and lending activities with the Paris Agreement.
To ensure FIs’ climate targets are credible, rigorous and holistic, the SBTi is developing new resources, providing banks, private equity firms, insurers, asset managers and asset owners with clear guidance, criteria and recommendations needed to set science-based near- and long-term targets consistent with net-zero and limiting global temperature rise to 1.5°C.
Join us on July 6 to learn about the SBTi's work to develop new resources to enable FIs to align with climate science. This webinar will offer an overview of the development process of both new frameworks and concepts as we build towards a Net-Zero Standard, plus an update of existing target-setting resources, address key questions and present next steps. A Q&A session will take place at the end of the webinar. Alongside the documents a two-month public consultation period will open so that you can provide your feedback on the draft resources via the survey.
