Rebecca Burdon

Rebecca Burdon is CEO of Climate Resource, a climate science organisation that develops models and data widely used by the international climate science and policy communities, and finance and professional services firms. She is a Senior Advisor to Melbourne Climate Futures at the University of Melbourne. Rebecca has worked at the climate science-policy interface for over 20 years, including translating carbon budgets and emissions scenarios into targets and policies, and regulatory and market design.  As a Managing Director of the Australian-German Energy Transition Hub, a collaboration of 13 research institutes, she shaped a broad research program on transition pathways, barriers, and opportunities. As a General Manager at Australia's Climate Change Authority, she led teams advising on national emissions targets and sectoral transition pathways. She was a member of an Australian government expert panel, the Domestic Offset Integrity Committee, that assessed carbon crediting methods under its emissions trading schemes.
