Dr. Laura Draucker

Laura Draucker is the Standards and Guidance Director at GMA, working to ensure companies can credibly calculate and claim emissions reductions resulting from value chain investments through the Advanced and Indirect Mitigation (AIM) Platform.
Before joining GMA, Laura was the Senior Director of Corporate Climate Action at Ceres, a nonprofit advocacy organization. In that role, Laura led the organization’s work on corporate climate action plans and supported investors in managing climate risks and recognizing transition opportunities in their portfolios to help ensure long-term value for their clients and beneficiaries. Prior to Ceres, Laura served as the inaugural Sustainability Director at Amherst College, where she led the adoption of the college’s first climate goals and action plan. Laura also worked at the World Resources Institute (WRI) on the GHG Protocol team, helping to develop the 2011 Product Life Cycle and Scope 3 GHG Accounting and Reporting Standards.
Laura holds a PhD and a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology and Villanova University, respectively. Laura also currently serves as the vice chair of the inaugural technical council for the Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi). Laura lives with her family in Amherst, Massachusetts.
