Dr. Christa Anderson

Dr. Christa Anderson is an expert on climate impacts and mitigation in the land sector. She is currently the Senior Director of Climate at Rainforest Alliance, where she provides climate expertise on climate mitigation action in agricultural and forest lands. She previously worked at World Wildlife Fund, and was a co-developer of SBTi’s FLAG guidance and tool.

Dr. Anderson has nearly 20 years of experience working on climate change, land use, and conservation. She has published in many scientific journals and was a contributing author to the IPCC Sixth Assessment Report. Her work has been covered in popular media outlets such as The Washington Post and NPR’s Science Friday. She holds a PhD in Environment and Resources from Stanford University, and a Masters in Environmental Science from Yale University. She is based in St Paul, Minnesota.
