Daniel Schneiders is Director Climate & Water at Bayer AG and a sustainability leader with extensive experience in climate strategy, environmental policy and corporate transformation. He leads Bayer’s work on climate action and water stewardship, including net-zero strategy development, value chain decarbonization, carbon market engagement and stakeholder dialogue.
With more than 20 years of international experience, Daniel has worked across multiple industries and stakeholder groups, including the private sector, government, academia and multi-stakeholder initiatives. Throughout his career, he has focused on translating climate science, evolving policy frameworks and stakeholder expectations into practical and scalable business strategies. His expertise spans science-based target setting, value chain emissions management, climate governance and the evolving role of carbon markets in supporting global decarbonization. In addition to his corporate role, he lectures on sustainability and climate-related topics at Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences.
Daniel is passionate about ensuring that climate standards remain scientifically robust, practical to implement and capable of driving meaningful emissions reductions across sectors and geographies.
