For the second year running, Japan led as the country with the highest number of companies setting science-based targets. There was a 520% increase in the number of organizations in India setting targets in 2023 compared to 2022.

There was a 102% increase in the number of companies with science-based targets by the end of 2023 compared to the end of 2022.

Companies with science-based targets or commitments increased from 37% to 39% of global market cap.
