Refinement of the transport sector in the Sectoral Decarbonization Approach

Event description:

The Science Based Targets Initiative will host a consultative workshop on updated decarbonization pathways for the transport sector in the Sectoral Decarbonization Approach (SDA). The event will build on the initiativeå«s aim to expand and refine the SDA method and tool for critical sectors that can significantly contribute to reducing emissions for a well-below 2å¡C world.

The workshop will cover the following topics:

• An introduction to transport modeling
• SBTi Transport project, progress on planned deliverables
• Corporate leadership in a well-below 2å¡C world

Companies and other stakeholders are invited to express their interest in participating in this workshop before Wednesday 21 June 2017 by sending an email to Paola Delgado (pdelgado@wwfmex.org). Please note that there are a limited number of spaces and we will be confirming the list of participants by June 23, 2017. For stakeholders that are interested in the discussions but that canÛªt attend this session there will be other opportunities to engage including through webinars and drafts to comment on.
