COP23: High-Level Meeting of Caring for Climate

The UN Global Compact together with UN Environment and UNFCCC secretariat will convene the annual High-Level Meeting of Caring for Climate at COP23 inviting chief executives of business and finance, civil society, the UN and governments. The meeting will focus on how the private sector can contribute to accelerating and enhancing NDC and SDG ambition and implementation leading up to key milestones including the 2018 global stock-take and the UN Secretary-General’s 2019 Climate Summit. A new global landscape analysis will be launched during this occasion examining business engagement in a set of 30 nationally determined contributions and their plans for realizing the sustainable development goals.
