Thapelo Letete

Thapelo is an environmental chemical engineer with 19 years' experience in climate change and sustainability. He has experience in consulting, research, government as well as inter-governmental processes under the UNFCCC. His experience spans many sectors including public sector, transport, financial and banking sectors, oil and gas, mining, telecommunications and power. His expertise includes climate change mitigation; GHG inventories and carbon accounting; climate policy; transparency, measurement, reporting and verification (MRV); science-based target setting and development of NDCs.

He holds a PhD in climate change MRV and has been nominated to the UNFCCC roster of experts as a GHG inventory and mitigation expert.
