Javier Bolaños

Javier is the Head of ESG Ratings and Indices at the Enel Group, the biggest electric utility in Europe. He has over 12 years of international experience in designing sustainability strategies aimed at creating long term value, while providing solutions for managing environmental, social and governance (ESG) risks and opportunities, with a particular focus on promoting action to tackle climate change. He currently manages the engagement with main ESG analysts and ratings on sustainability and climate related topics at Group level. He previously worked in multilateral organizations such as the United Nations Global Compact, contributing to promoting corporate sustainability across Latin America and Caribbean region. He holds a Msc. in Environment and International Cooperation and a BSc. in Environmental Sciences from the Autonomous University of Madrid (Spain).
