Guy Rickard

Guy leads the Carbon Trust’s work on science-based targets and net zero targets for corporates. He has worked with numerous FTSE100 companies and other multinational clients around the world on sustainability strategy, technical opportunity identification, business case development and stakeholder engagement. His wide-ranging sector experience includes manufacturing, transport, retail, financial services, media, utilities, hospitality, construction and commercial property.

Guy has a corporate background, having held a range of management positions at food manufacturer Mars, including roles in sales and marketing, research and insights, and category management. Prior to that he worked as a consultant engineer in the rail industry.

Guy speaks French fluently and holds a master’s degree in Climate Change and Sustainable Development from Leicester De Montfort University and a master’s degree in Engineering from the University of Durham.
