Dr. Mphethe Tongwane

Dr. Mphethe Tongwane is a researcher and climate change specialist whose current employment includes conducting mitigation assessments for both the public and private sectors in Africa. Formerly affiliated with the Agricultural Research Council – Institute for Soil, Climate and Water and School of Agricultural, Earth and Environmental Sciences, University of KwaZulu-Natal, Mphethe has a professional background in Agrometeorology and Environmental Science. His research includes quantifying greenhouse gas emissions and mitigation strategies for the agricultural sector and transport.
