Workshop on Science-based Targets and the Aluminum Sector
Led by World Resources Institute in collaboration with the International Aluminium Institute, the Science Based Targets initiative is laying a foundation for the development of tools and guidance to enable aluminum sector companies to set SBTs. We are engaging sector representatives and experts to better understand the challenges and opportunities in setting and achieving SBTs.
This workshop will take place at the TMS 2019 Annual Meeting & Exhibition.
Workshop objectives:
- Align on the industry-specific inputs and assumptions for refreshing the sectoral decarbonization pathway
- Share opportunities and challenges for setting targets and reducing emissions
- Discuss tools, guidance, and other support aluminum companies need to set SBTs
