Science Based Targets Workshop – Mexico

Date: 10 July 2019
Time: 09:00 am - 01:30 pm America/Mexico City
Location: Museo de Memoria y Tolerancia Av. Juarez 8, Colonia Centro, Centro, 06010 Cuauhtemoc, CDMX, Mexico

Derived from the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change’s Special Report on Global Warming of 1.5°C, the Science Based Targets initiative introduced in April 2019 a new set of technical resources to facilitate the adoption of corporate GHG emissions targets in line with the pathways to keep global temperature below 1.5°C or well-below 2°C.

In this first workshop organized by the partners of the initiative in Mexico, you will learn about the updates to the existing methods to set science-based targets, about the new validation criteria of the initiative, and about the new resources the initiative has developed to facilitate the adoption of these types of targets.

You will have the chance to consult the experts that have developed the methodological and validation framework of the initiative.

This workshop will be in Spanish.
