Date: 22 June 2017
Time: 10:00 am - 11:30 am Europe/London
Location: Online

Event description:

The apparel sector has an important role to play in the transition to a low-carbon economy. Setting science-based targets (SBTs) that are aligned with the level of decarbonization required to keep global temperature rise well below 2å¡ Celsius is a powerful way for companies to boost their competitive advantage and ensure they are doing their part to reach a 2-degree world.

The guidance will provide clarity on credible approaches for setting SBTs for company operations (scopes 1 and 2), and setting ambitious targets for value chain (scope 3) emissions. WRI will lead a 16- month, multi-stakeholder process to develop the guidance, working closely with apparel sector companies and other stakeholders to reach agreement on key technical issues.
