Sandra Girgis

Sandra is the Global Head of Environmental Sustainability at Givaudan. In this role, she leads the definition of the overall environmental sustainability strategy of the Company, coordinates the environmental sustainability programme and master plan and drives its implementation. She is also a member of the Global Sustainability Leadership Team of Givaudan

Specifically to Science Based Targets, her experience goes back to 2015 when Givaudan was one of the first companies to sign the "road to Paris" commitment to adopt science based targets.

She was then in charge of the technical and business aspects of Givaudan's SBT setting. Targets were approved and communicated in September 2017.

In 2019, she engaged with leadership to boost the ambition level of Givaudan's SBT to align on the 1.5° C trajectory. In addition, Givaudan signed the UN pledge 'Business Ambition for 1.5°C, which is a key milestone on Givaudan's path to reaching its ambition of becoming climate-positive before 2050 for all three scopes.

By joining the Technical Advisory Group of SBT she would like to capitalize on her experience to inspire and support other companies embarking on this journey.
