Ruhana Zariwala

Ruhana is the Global Head of Sustainability at Cipla Ltd. Her past association was with Mahindra Finance, JSW Steel Ltd, Tata Consultancy Services Ltd and many more. She has got to work with Corporates, Consultancy and Government and worked across sectors like Manufacturing, Finance, Environmental firms and Service Industry.

She is an Engineering Graduate with Post graduation in Masters in Technology in Environmental Engineering and Post Graduate Diploma in Climate Change.

She has 20+ years of work experience in the Corporate Sustainability & Environment domain. She has worked in driving Sustainability strategy, climate change & ESG, disclosures, business excellence, sustainability performance assessment, biodiversity, LCA, GHG emission mitigation, water, waste and energy management, Green lending & Sustainable Finance, SDG implementation, & Training and Capacity building.

She is Lead Auditor for ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, EnMS 50001, ISO 14064 and Assessor for CII ITC Sustainability Awards. She is a regular speaker, panelist at sustainability events and participates in industry leading technical working groups, industry bodies and experts.

She played a lead role for JSW in winning “Asia Best Integrated Report” from ASRA, Singapore. She has won for Mahindra Finance “Global Corporate Sustainability Award” in Reporting Category hosted by Alliance of SDG at Taiwan.
