Dr. Takeshi Kuramochi

Climate Policy Researcher New Climate Institute

Dr. Takeshi Kuramochi is a senior climate policy researcher at New Climate Institute since 2015. With more than fifteen years of research experience, he leads various projects analysing emissions reduction scenarios for major emitting economies as well as subnational and non-state actors. Since 2016 he contributes to the annual UNEP Emissions Gap Reports as a lead author on the chapter assessing G20 countries’ progress. Takeshi is also a visiting researcher at the Copernicus Institute of Sustainable Development, Utrecht University.
