UN High-Level Political Forum

The High-Level Political Forum (HLPF) is the central multi-stakeholder mechanism established by the United Nations for follow-up and review of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the Sustainable Development Goals. The theme for 2018 for the HLPF will be “Transformation towards sustainable and resilient societies.” Additionally, a set of seven goals will be reviewed in depth:

How can business engage at the HLPF?

During the HLPF the UN Global Compact, together with partners ICC and UNDESA, will convene the SDG Business Forum, a platform for business to interact in dialogue with other stakeholders, share the private sector’s perspectives and showcase the efforts carried out in support of the 2030 agenda and the SDGs. The event will showcase review of business engagement on the 6 goals in focus at this year’s HLPF, as well as individual sessions examining investment, partnerships, and monitoring.From SMEs to multinational corporations, the global business community is committed to contribute to the success of the 2030 Agenda and the realization of a long-lasting, prosperous future for all. This year the Forum will take place on 18 July, 2018 at UN Headquarters.
