Kylee Chang is a Research Associate in WRI’s Business Center working to advance and develop the Science Based Target Initiative. She has experience in corporate greenhouse gas measurement, designing and implementing scientific research related to climate change, and working with private companies to adopt scalable solutions to achieve a more climate-resilient future.
Kylee started her career working at Chevron measuring and monitoring GHG emissions at its oil refinery in El Segundo, CA. She then spent 3 years as climate scientist at Scripps Institution of Oceanography performing research on urban air pollution, climate change in the Arctic, and ocean health to inform environmental policies at the California Air Resources Board, the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service and NOAA; publishing her work in respected academic journals. She has worked with private companies, including MPOWERD, Inc integrating sustainability strategy into their supply chain, and at Medtronic and Hewlett Packard, Inc. developing new products in their research and development labs.
She holds a Master of Environmental Management from the Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies, a M.S. in Earth Science from UC San Diego, and a B.S. in Chemistry from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles.
