Zniko Nhlapho

Zniko Nhlapho joined the WWF South Africa in 2020 a Technical Manager for Science Based Targets. At the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) Zniko is contributing to various corporate engagement activities including work on supplier engagement. She is also co-leading work on Scope 3 and broader value chain targets, as well as supporting with the development of the Net-Zero Standard. Before joining the WWF-SBTi, Zniko was a sustainability and climate change consultant at Environmental Resources Management (ERM). In her previous role, she worked on assessing climate change risks on business assets and operations; performing studies to respond to Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) recommendations; developing corporate carbon footprints, carbon and energy targets; preparing CDP reports on behalf of companies and has knowledge on Green Bond Principles and Climate Bond Standard. Zniko holds an MSc in Interdisciplinary Global Change Studies from the Universityof the Witwatersrand and a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration from the Wits Business School, South Africa. She is currently based in Johannesburg, South Africa.
