Haley Kazanecki

RESEARCH AND TECHNICAL DEVELOPMENT

Haley is currently a project and research coordinator for the Forests program at WRI and is joining SBTI to assist with their work on Beyond Value Chain Mitigation. At WRI, she provides administrative and research support across multiple projects focused on forest emissions reductions and removals in carbon markets. Prior to joining the Forests program, she was a research intern for the US Climate program at WRI and worked on America Is All In research that quantified the impact of U.S. climate policies.

Prior to joining WRI, she worked as an economic policy intern with Friends of the Earth U.S., helping to launch their Banks and Biodiversity campaign. Outside of WRI, she is currently working with a team at the Cornell Center for Conservation Bioacoustics on a paper classifying orangutan long calls.

She holds a B.A. in Environmental Studies from Eckerd College and is based in St. Petersburg, Florida.
