Ginger Kowal

Ginger Kowal joined CDP in 2022 as Research Manager for the Science Based Targets initiative. At SBTi, Ginger supports research to develop robust cross-sector standards for corporate climate ambition, engaging with the research and scientific community to ensure that SBTi's methods are transparent, rigorous, and up-to-date with the latest climate science.

In previous roles before joining the SBTi, Ginger worked as a power sector decarbonization consultant with Energy Innovation; as a climate impacts research associate with the National Environmental Modeling and Analysis Center; and as an ecological model developer with the Natural Capital Project at Stanford University. Ginger holds a MSc in Terrestrial Ecology from the University of Calgary, Canada.
