Mark Didden

Mark works at AkzoNobel, a leading global paints and coatings company and major producer of specialty chemicals. He joined the company in 2016 and is responsible for the internal and external sustainability reporting of the company.

 Prior to that Mark worked at World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD) in Geneva where he led a number of programs focused on greenhouse gas management and the development of business solutions for climate change. He also led a joint project with UN Global Compact and the Global Reporting Initiative on how companies can contribute to the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). In 2014, on external assignment, Mark worked as private section liaison officer at the office of the United Nations Secretary-General in New York.

 From 2007-2012, Mark worked at the Philips Corporate Sustainability Office in the Netherlands, where amongst others he developed the carbon footprint reporting process for the company. He holds a Master’s degree in industrial engineering and management science of the Eindhoven University of Technology.
